James Villas

Pollensa villas A proper Mallorcan town which is a great place to wander in with some tempting craft and clothes shops as well as great café life, Spanish style. Make the short journey from your Pollensa villa on a Sunday morning and buy fruit and vegetables, cheese and olives direct from the farmers at the market, which spills out from the Placa Major into the maze of little streets leading up to the Calvary steps. Walk to the top (all 365 steps if you’ve the energy), to the Calvari church and fantastic views of the convent on top of Puig de Maria.
Cala Santanyi villas Set in a small cove enclosed by pine-clad cliffs, this little resort is popular with artists as is neighbouring Cala Figuera - a long narrow inlet where working fishing boats still bring in their catch along with a refreshing sense of work day reality to the postcard pretty scene. Just inland, the golden-stoned town of Santanyi has one of Mallorca’s liveliest markets and the most flamboyant-looking church organ brought, by land and sea from a convent in Palma in 1837.
Alcudia villas A big, bustling port and resort with all sorts of shops, restaurants and boutiques lining the gentle sweep of sandy bay with its warm shallow waters and huge variety of water sports. You’ll find all the traditional seaside fun here from pedaloes and family pedal cars to a water park and a lively nightlife. For a complete change of pace and scene, stroll round the beautifully preserved, medieval walled city of Alcudia. With its network of shaded narrow streets, it’s reminiscent of Palma’s atmospheric Arab quarter. It was the Romans who first put Alcudia on the map and you can visit a Roman house and remains of an amphitheatre just south of the town
Puerto Pollensa villas Young families love the wide, gently shelving sandy beach which stretches for over a mile round the huge horseshoe bay. And parents appreciate the pavement restaurants and cafés along the pedestrian Pine Walk where they can relax. You’ll find all sorts of water sports on offer from waterskiing to parasailing, plus boat trips to the beach on the spectacular Formentor peninsular. The town square is a popular meeting place on warm summer evenings and on market day on Wednesdays There are lovely walks to remote beaches inaccessible by car and the spectacular profile of the Sierra de Tramuntana Mountains looms above, tempting you to explore.
Cala d'or villas Whether you’re looking for a chic Mediterranean lifestyle, fishing boats and family beaches, water sports, golf or horse riding, you’ll find it at this group of little sandy beaches and resorts. Glass bottomed boats give trips up and down between the different coves, stopping off so you can take a look and choose your beach for the day. Many of our villas are within walking distance of the different beaches and close to the shops and bars of the bustling centre of Cala d’or. Sip Cava and dine in style in one of the smart restaurants on the terrace overlooking the gin palaces and sleek yachts at the Cala d’or marina. Or visit neighbouring Porto Petro which is much more low-key, more of a Mallorcan village by the sea with waiters crossing at the zebra crossing carrying plates of delicious seafood to the pavement café on the quay.
C'an Picafort villas Just south of Alcudia, this is a quieter resort with a long expanse of beach and a good selection of shops, restaurants and pavement cafés. Nearby, the Natural Park of Albufera is a Mecca for birdwatchers with all sorts of rare migrants visiting and some spectacular residents like hoopoes living in the peaceful wetlands.
S'Horta, Cala d'or villas A traditional Spanish village nestling within the overall area of Cala d’or. S’horta with narrow streets, a selection of shops, bars and restaurants and a beautiful church, retains much of its charm. Close by is Calonge with its variety of chic furniture and glass shops and small selection of superb restaurants.
Felanitx villas This unpretentious little town is known for wine, capers and ceramics - buy some at the market which fills the streets around the 13th Century church on Sundays. It’s only a ten minute drive from here to the very different world of Cala d’or on the coast.
Sa Pobla villas Sa Pobla is the centre of the farming community and the ‘vegetable basket’ of the island. It has a few shops, a bustling produce market and a little museum of toys and games and contemporary art. In August it hosts an excellent Jazz music festival.
Porto Petro, Cala d'or villas The harbour and resort of Porto Petro offers some delightful fish restaurants, together with a small selection of cafes and shops. Located within a fifteen minute drive south of Cala d’or is the resort of Cala Santanyi, which is within easy reach of some of the loveliest sandy coves on the island.
Calonge, Cala d'or villas A traditional Spanish village nestling within the overall area of Cala d’or. S’horta with narrow streets, a selection of shops, bars and restaurants and a beautiful church, retains much of its charm. Close by is Calonge with its variety of chic furniture and glass shops and small selection of superb restaurants.
